can’t believe i’ve tricked myself into journaling for real by being influenced by a friend who’s into hobonichi and my own love of using a ruler. i didn’t buy a hobonichi but i did buy a grid journal from the us supplier jetpens (well i bought two but i was lured in with the free shipping). i haven’t received them yet, they’re still packing my order, but i’m excited to get them and figure out the best layout for me.
i have an old moleskine dot journal that i’ve used off and on for this and that, so i measured out an a6 page spread and how to split it up right for a weekly planner section as well as journal pages. i did some math and i could in theory get nearly a whole year out of one of these books. i think i’d be short two weeks, which isn’t bad. but in trying it out this week i’ve found that lay out to be a little cramped. each day i wrote a little bit more and today ran out of room. granted the new book will have smaller spacing and i bought a finer pen, but it does still feel cramped. i might just do each page as a day plus a week page and concede that it’s going to be like a half a year planner/journal.
at least i won’t have to order wildly ahead to get anything from hobonichi or deal with the uggo left overs. also their daily one is a5 which is a little bigger than i’d want tbh. either way we will have to wait and see.
ha got the email that it’s in pre-shipment right now cuz lucifer loves me.
in other news, i finally moved my owned domain over to a registrar i can actually interface with and brought it here to neocities. i’m in the process of building it off-line with just notepad and my browser just to feel something. it’s not going to be anything spectacular, just a portfolio site that’s a little quirky. and yeah it’s gonna be clunky with the html only lightbox javascript scares and confuses me and i don’t much like it so we’re not using it.
once i finish scratching that itch i’m probably gonna overhaul my blog pages cuz frankly it’s extremely clunky to update and i hate it lol looked through a very helpful site called html for people while starting my portfolio site and it’s a great tool for idiots like me who love to run at the wall before learning shit lol.
extremely abbreviated work update; if people could stop bringing me two or three projects at a time and filling up my fucking racks that would be great. i’m not even behind but it looks like it cuz i’m out of fucking room for shit.
even more abbreviate media update; been watching shows and movies a little more cuz qbittorent is my new bestie.
